The Latest ATF Gun Trace Data Is Misleading

In the latest report out of the nation’s capitol, by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, what they don’t tell you is that most of the firearms traced from the United States are from government to government sales. That the statistics are sample biased because only select firearms are chosen for tracing. Which once again means that the 70% claim is intentionally misleading. Katie Pavlich covers it in her recent story.

The BATF doesn’t differentiate from those firearms that are legally owned and then stolen. They are obviously including firearms illegally walked in the Fast and Furious operation. None of these points, is highlighted by the BATF or anyone that is using these intentionally misleading numbers, when calling for the abridgment of the Second Amendment. Which makes these latest round of numbers as bad as the former 90% lie.
