Much can be said about the effectiveness of the license to carry laws across our nation. They work and they work well empowering citizens to hold the upper hand against violent crime. There’s no secret here. With the nation having experienced debunked cries of “blood in the streets,” anti-gun groups such as Mayors Against Illegal Guns are still waging a war, against gun rights despite the reality of the benefits. A case in point of one of the worst examples is New York City’s recent and continual violation of the Second Amendment, via arresting and prosecuting legal gun owing Americans, as they pass through the City’s busy airport.

An article by Glenn Harlan Reynolds makes it clear how states should maximize the honest citizens’ ability to defend themselves. Stricter gun laws do the opposite.

Handgun permit-holders, it turns out, are a very law-abiding group, as you might expect from people who are willing to undergo a background check and training. (A recent study found that mayors belonging to Bloomberg’s group have been arrested at a much higher rate than Tennessee handgun-carry permit holders, for crimes ranging from perjury and embezzlement to child sexual assault. But there’s no background check for politicians.)

The White House has decided to do another email dump. This time it’s clear, that Holder’s office knew very shorty after the death of Agent Brian Terry, that Fast and Furious firearms were involved. NPR has posted the chain of emails, involving then US Attorney Dennis K. Burke to Monty Wilkinson, aide to Eric Holder. These emails are not good news for Eric Holder. Though remember this is all released by the White House. You can bet there’s a motive.
